Job Summary:

The EDI Analyst is responsible for managing, implementing, and maintaining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and processes. This role involves analyzing business requirements, developing EDI solutions, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with standards, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless data exchange.

Key Responsibilities:

• EDI System Management:
• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of EDI systems and applications.
• Monitor EDI transactions to ensure successful data transmission and troubleshoot errors.
• Business Analysis:
• Work with stakeholders to understand and document business requirements for EDI implementations.
• Analyze and resolve issues related to EDI transactions, mapping, and workflows.
• Trading Partner Management:
• Onboard new trading partners, including configuring EDI setups and developing/testing EDI maps.
• Maintain communication with trading partners to address EDI-related issues and updates.
• Mapping and Documentation:
• Create and maintain EDI mapping specifications for various transaction sets (e.g., 810, 850, 856, etc.).
• Document EDI processes, workflows, and resolutions for internal knowledge sharing.
• Compliance and Standards:
• Ensure EDI transactions comply with industry standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and regulations.
• Stay updated on changes to standards and recommend necessary updates to systems or processes.
• Testing and Support:
• Conduct end-to-end testing for EDI transactions to validate integration with trading partners.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and external partners for EDI-related issues.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify and implement improvements to EDI processes for better efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate EDI with ERP, CRM, and other business systems.

Qualifications:

• Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience:
• Proven experience as an EDI Analyst or similar role.
• Familiarity with EDI standards such as ANSI X12, EDIFACT, and XML.
• Experience with EDI mapping tools (e.g., Gentran, Sterling Integrator, BizTalk, etc.).
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of EDI concepts and transactions.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and database queries (SQL).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with supply chain, logistics, or retail industries.
• Knowledge of APIs, AS2, FTP, and other integration protocols.
• Understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
