TITLE: Construction Project Scheduler
LOCATION: Monticello, AR (HYBRID!)
TYPE: Long term contract (2+ years)
PAY: $50 - $60/hr

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Construction Project Scheduler for a well-known, sustainable forestry and lumber company. This would be a great opportunity to join a reputable company to work on a long term project!
- Establish, implement, and manage an effective scheduling system.
- Support the creation of tasks and sub-tasks to ensure project vendors and contractors meet deadlines.
- Track project timelines and maintain a database of tasks and their progress.
- Record new project data and generate scheduled reports for contract coordination and reporting.
- Coordinate assignments and scheduling by collaborating with customers and project staff.
- Develop and structure project schedules using MS Project.
- Work closely with project teams and task managers to define scope, update detailed schedules, and identify deviations from the original plan.
- Monitor project schedule progress and performance, identifying potential problem areas.
- Assess critical paths and constraints to evaluate schedule impacts and recommend alternative solutions.
- Collaborate weekly with contractor superintendents and the construction team to update project schedules.
- Provide recommendations for managing risks that impact project profitability, costs, timelines, and client relationships.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling, planning, or coordination.
- Experience working with vendors, contractors, and project teams in a construction, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in MS Project or other scheduling software (Primavera P6, Smartsheet, etc.).
- Strong understanding of scheduling methodologies, including critical path analysis and risk assessment.
- Experience with database management for tracking project tasks and timelines.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project records.
- Ability to work collaboratively with contractor superintendents and construction teams.
- Understanding of project risk management related to cost, schedule, and client relations.
