Elevate Your Career in Project Manager III with Airswift
Airswift is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager III to join our team in Lake Charles, United States. This is a full-time contract position with duration of one year. As a Project Manager III, you will have the opportunity to lead both capital and turnaround projects for our client in the oil and gas industry.
Role Overview
- Assemble and lead a full-time team to effectively execute the project.
- Oversee the preparation and implementation of the Project Execution Plan.
- Lead the FEL process, completing gate reviews, and obtaining management approvals.
- Manage cost, schedule, procurement, and the billing payables groups.
- Interview and approve personnel from the contractor's organization.
- Understand contracts and manage contractors to maximize performance, control costs, and minimize claims and change orders.
- Set up project facilities at site and in the contractor's office.
- Set safety expectations for the project and lead the team to achieve safety goals.
- Ensure plant Operations and Maintenance personnel are engaged and understand their responsibilities.
- Ensure proper schedules are issued, reviewed, and used to drive project performance.
- Ensure the accuracy of the cost estimate as well as monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Set up programs to manage vendors, fabricators, and any required specialty contractors.
- Ensure quality processes are followed.
- Develop, gain approval for, and manage project KPIs and metrics.
- Lead development of a risk management plan.
- Prepare and give presentations to various levels of the company and other stakeholders.
- Timely and efficiently close out the project.
Skills & Qualifications
- TWIC card.
- Experience with QA/QC processes.
- Engineering Management experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
- Optional: I/E Project Management experience, FEL Process knowledge, Contracting Strategy expertise, Cost Management skills, Engineering and Construction experience.
Education & Experience
- Basic/Required: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.
- Must have prior experience managing both capital and turnaround projects. Specific turnaround need is for a fall sulfur recovery unit turnaround - both mechanical and I/E focus.
- 10 or more years of project management experience working in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
- 5 or more years of experience working as a Project Manager with sole accountability for the project.
- Preferred: 10 or more years of experience working as a Project Manager with sole accountability for the project.
- Working knowledge of industry recommended practices, design methods, and QA/QC requirements.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, industry standards, and DOT requirements.
- Experience managing engineering and construction contractors and multiple project teams.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
