Summary:
- Responsible to provide optimal medical nutrition therapy to patients, individuals or groups through comprehensive nutrition assessment and counseling for disease management, treatment and/or prevention.
- Defines nutritional status, makes recommendations and implements nutrition interventions.
- Required Licensure includes Registered Dietitian through CDR and licensure through the State of Florida, or successful completion of national registration and state licensure within 12 months of employment.
- Effective January 1, 2024, a graduate degree is required for those not initially credentialed by 12/31/23. A graduate degree includes a master’s degree, practice doctorate, doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, EdD or, DSc).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors Degree
- Masters Degree required if not initially credentialed by 12/31/23
- Required - RD (Registered Dietitian); Or - Reference summary for details - Registry Eligible
