About the Role:
Graham & Borgese is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Debt Defense Attorney to join our growing team. In this role, you will work to resolve debt defense matters for consumers being sued by creditors. This includes managing a large caseload with time-sensitive deadlines while striving to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Handle and resolve debt defense cases for consumers facing lawsuits from creditors.
- Manage a large caseload efficiently, ensuring all time-sensitive deadlines are met.
- Negotiate with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the New York State Bar or eligible for admission.
- Strong initiative, self-motivation, and organizational skills.
- Excellent legal writing and communication abilities.
- Proven negotiating skills to resolve disputes effectively.
