Pre-Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Fellowships in Systems Genetics and Genomics
Channing Division of Network Medicine
Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School
The Channing Division of Network Medicine (CDNM) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School is looking for exceptional candidates for our NIH T32 pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships in computational biology, network medicine, and systems genetics and genomics of lung diseases.
Our group has led some of the largest and most comprehensive epidemiologic, genetic, and multi-omic studies in lung diseases, including identifying novel genetic and Omic associations and performing functional studies to identify new disease pathways. The fellowship research will be done under the mentorship of faculty at CDNM who have expertise in network medicine, statistics, bioinformatics, epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, machine learning, and Omics of complex human lung diseases. CDNM is the home of multiple respiratory disease studies, which include Omics data from more than 100,000 individuals. CDNM also has extensive computer resources for supporting large-scale bioinformatics analyses.
Brigham and Women’s Hospital is a Harvard Medical School affiliated institution, with over 1000 principal investigators. The Channing Division of Network Medicine is a research division within the Department of Medicine; the overall goal of CDNM is to define the etiology and reclassify complex diseases using network- and systems-based approaches. This group includes some of the largest population-based and pulmonary cohorts in the world, and an outstanding track record of mentoring.
In order to be eligible for support by the CDNM T32 grant, the applicant must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.

6. Compliance with Mass General Brigham’s COVID 19 Vaccination Policy
7. Successful review of the Medicare program's Sanctions and Exclusions List
8. Verification of education, current licensures and registrations, and credentialing (if applicable)
If you begin work before the results of these checks are determined, it is with full understanding that an unsatisfactory report may lead to termination.
Reference information, including academic and/or employment records, final evaluations and recommendations for future employment will be required.
Post-doctoral applicants optimally will have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. with some experience with epidemiologic and statistical data analysis. Strong quantitative skills and practical experience working with large-scale datasets and applying epidemiologic tools are a plus. A stated interest in computational biology, systems genetics, and/or Omics research, is essential.
Pre-doctoral applicants must be enrolled in a Ph.D.-granting program in biological or computational science, and they cannot already hold a doctoral degree from a U.S. or foreign institution.
Starting date : July 1, 2025.
Duration: Post-doctoral fellows will be funded for up to three years; pre-doctoral fellows will be funded for up to five years.
