Title : Marketing Manager I

Work Location: Burbank, CA 91505 ( Hybrid - 3 days a week in office and 2 days work from home)

Contract duration : 6 months

Pay Rate: $35-$40/hour on W2



What We Do

Our division is responsible for driving transactional and licensing revenue for all client properties across Film and Television. The Retail Strategy department oversees strategy and execution of promotional programs with our key transactional retail partners in the US & Canada (Amazon, Apple, Fandango, etc.). We are responsible for pricing strategy, execution, and compliance across New Release and Catalog , and work cross-functionally with the Marketing, Sales, and Planning/Analytics teams to generate incremental revenue for the company.


Project

The individual hired will be providing support to the Retail Strategy team across the US & Canada digital transactional business . They will play a key role in evaluating promotional opportunities at our key retailers and providing insights to the business.


Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role

- Support Director, Retail Strategy (Film) and Director, Retail Strategy & Operations on every day and promotional pricing strategy & execution for client’s New Release and Catalog titles

- Attend recurring meetings with Brand Marketing and Sales teams and support team in identifying and executing opportunities to drive incremental revenue opportunities at retail

- Assist with ad hoc data collection, analysis, and presentations to other departments based on business needs

- Take a proactive approach in analyzing current practices to identify areas for improvement and make suggestions for more efficient and strategic solutions

- Be willing to learn and develop subject matter expertise in the tools we use to support our business, such as SharePoint, Tableau, Airtable, Smartsheet, and more


Must Have Skills / Requirements

1) 3+ years of experience in retail/consumer marketing or sales in the entertainment and/or consumer goods industry

2) Must have proficient computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook required. Familiarity with Tableau a plus.

3) Interest in the entertainment industry and familiarity with Film/TV properties and IP


Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements

1) Familiarity with transactional & streaming lifecycles & distribution strategies (ie PEST/PVOD, EST/VOD, SVOD/AVOD, etc.)

2) Prior experience working at Film/TV studio and/or streaming/transactional platform

1) Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel.

2) Must have strong attention to detail.

3) Must have the ability to work well under time constraints and multi-task.

4) Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills

5) Ability to work cross-functionally.

6) Strong organizational skills required to effectively manage multiple simultaneous projects.

7) Ability to proactively identify and pursue opportunities for business process improvement.

8) Comfortable working on a large team with regular reoccurring meetings


Education / Certifications

1) Bachelors degree or equivalent required


Important Points –


Retail Strategy – looking for retail strategy manager. Between marketing and sales. Responsible for communicating and executing strategy to retail partners like Amazon, Apple, and Fandango, Google, Comcast, Verizon, etc.

• They sit under the umbrella of content sales, in the home entertainment group. They drive revenue for company in transactional digital sales (when a customer buys a digital copy of a client show that’s the revenue they generate)


Key projects:

Supporting manager and director on team. Part time would be managing the strategy with marketing team and driving the strategy rolled out to retail partners , other part is communicating strategy and confirming execution with sales team , monitoring competitive landscape, generally supporting function of compliance, execution, and strategy . They manage pricing strategy around new releases and catalogue title so they would be managing adhoc projects around that.

• Very smart, hard working, organized group. Prioritize well being and work life but they are a more “buttoned up group” amongst organisation. Other groups looks to them to help keep business organized.
