Description
The Product Support Representative has a thorough understanding and is knowledgeable about JL Marine product and is able to assist customers with their needs while making suggestions on additional products they may need. This role is able to manage installation and repairs as needed with accuracy and good quality.

- Talks with customers by phone or in person and receives orders for installation and repair.
- Performs all repairs in a professional manner with proper parts and equipment. Available for repairs during all event practice hours, tournament hours and through completion of tournament weigh in.
- Knowledgeable with all JL Marine Products, past and present. Understands general vessel rigging and can solely perform product installs.
- Reports complaints and problems concerning product, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.
- Required to work 28-32 events per year. Reports to assigned events in a timely and professional manner
- May be required to transport activation material including product displays, point-of-sale materials and booth equipment. Care of these items is required during loading/unloading, booth setup and transportation.
- May be required to provide training to certified warranty centers and installation training to scheduled OEM accounts.
- Follow company vehicle policy and ensure proper care is taken for both the vehicle and trailer; may include storage, appearance, inventory, and general maintenance.
- Follows and understands the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration laws and regulations and will comply with all DOT regulations if operating any CMV over 10,001 lbs GCWR.
- Files and submits all logbook entries to supervisor.
- Obtains receipts for all purchases made on company credit card or all purchases made with personal credit card/cash related to JL Marine or job duties.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2+ years of related experience.
- Must have a current Class D Drivers License
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Up to date DOT physical required (scheduled once offer is accepted).
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to explain product and needs to customers with simplicity and ease.
- In-depth knowledge installing and repairing Power-Pole products.
- Must be 25 years of age or older to be eligible for insurance reasons.
Working conditions - The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions: No effective protection from weather.
- The worker is subject to extreme heat: Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions such as wind and humidity.
- The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
- The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
Physical requirements - Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
- Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
