Job Title: Quality Manager (AUTOMOTIVE)

Location: (NASHVILLE AREA Steel Factory Location)

Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 per year (DOE)

We are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Manager to join our team and ensure the continued excellence of our products and processes.

Job Description:

As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality management system, ensuring that all production processes meet or exceed industry standards, and maintaining compliance with IATF 16949 standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, manage quality control processes, and collaborate with clients to meet their specific quality requirements. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and a deep understanding of the automotive manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with IATF 16949 standards.
  • Lead the quality department, ensuring effective quality control processes are in place throughout the manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct regular internal audits, external audits, and manage customer audits to ensure compliance with IATF 16949, PPAP, and AIAG guidelines.
  • Manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve processes.
  • Oversee the development and submission of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation for new product launches and customer requirements.
  • Lead the implementation of AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) standards for quality, including APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis).
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management and customers.
  • Foster a culture of quality within the organization, promoting employee engagement and training on quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
  • IATF 16949 certification.
  • Strong background in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) standards.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management or a related role within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience leading quality teams and driving continuous improvement efforts.
  • Excellent knowledge of quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with customers.
  • Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience with steel manufacturing processes and products, particularly in automotive applications.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or similar process improvement certifications.
