Quality Control Engineer
Location : Dallas, TX (Fully Onsite)
Pay : $75k - $80k

Reports to : QA/QC Manager
Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Control Engineer to execute Quality Assurance and Quality Control duties for our Dallas fabrication shop, as well as for our suppliers and vendors. This role requires a skilled individual who is passionate about maintaining high-quality standards and contributing to the success of the company’s production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of the QA/QC management system.
- Conduct quality inspections at the Dallas Fab Shop, subcontractors, and vendor sites.
- Arrange and oversee nondestructive testing (NDT).
- Coordinate quality matters with the fab shop project manager and foremen.
- Perform receipt inspections and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Distribute QA/QC documentation to the production team.
- Prepare and assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure quality control documentation is complete and up to date for project handover.
- Utilize advanced tools and techniques (e.g., 3D scanner) to maintain cutting-edge quality standards.
- Manage nonconformance reports and implement corrective actions.
- Review customer specifications and ensure relevant training is undertaken.
- Support the development and implementation of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Ensure all quality-related technical documents are current and compliant.
- Perform additional QA/QC tasks as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field preferred.
- QA/QC certification (CQE, CWI, ASQ) preferred; knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar standards.
- 3+ years of QA/QC experience in fabrication or manufacturing.
- Experience with NDT methods, quality inspections, and QMS management.
- Proficient with 3D scanners and advanced inspection tools.
- Strong understanding of QA processes, blueprints, and industry standards (AWS, ASME).
- Experience with nonconformance reporting (NCR) and corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Skilled in auditing, documentation, and compliance management.
- Willingness to undertake training and adapt to evolving responsibilities.
Travel Requirements:
- Infrequent travel required, up to 30%, primarily for local fabrication inspections.
