Position Overview
Parra Consulting Group Inc. is currently seeking a Joint Counter Unmanned Systems Modeling and Simulation Analyst to provide customer support at Tampa, FL . The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting complex Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) simulation models and conducting analysis for decision-making and managerial functions.
Key Responsibilities
- C-UAS Simulation and Analysis:
- Provide on-site analysis, operation, and support of complex C-UAS simulation models.
- Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and optimization methods to assist with decision-making and policy formulation.
- Data Collection and Software Development:
- Collect and analyze C-UAS data and develop decision support software, services, or products.
- Collaboration and Peer Review:
- Participate in working group sessions to facilitate information exchange and peer reviews.
- Establish relationships with analytical partners such as OSD-CAPE, AFRL, CAA, Navy N81, JS-J8, etc., to enhance modeling and simulation capabilities.
- Study Development:
- Develop C-UAS study questions and plans by identifying issues and outlining actionable study plans.
- Validation and Verification:
- Implement a verification process to frame study questions, capture necessary data, and program models.
- Validate model output through interactions with subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Leadership Insights:
- Assist USCENTCOM in crafting insights and conclusions from simulation studies.
- Brief leadership on analytical insights and conclusions.
- Project Management:
- Ensure timely and high-quality completion of assigned tasks and projects as per government military or civilian project manager standards.
Qualifications Required
- Security Clearance:
- Active and transferrable DoD Top Secret security clearance with a current investigation at the required level.
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience in modeling and simulation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ , Python , or Java .
- Technical Expertise:
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative assessment tools and methodologies.
- Experience with modeling and simulation software (preferably Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM) and Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) ).
- Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Office).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Advanced Education:
- Master’s degree with coursework in operations research, industrial/systems engineering, systems analysis, or a related field.
- Military Experience:
- Experience interfacing with military staff at operational and strategic levels.
