Job Title: Senior Design Engineer

Position Overview: As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and improving products and processes, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards. This position offers high visibility in our Engineering department, working cross-functionally to bring new products to life and support them through their entire lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities: .
- Specification Review: Analyze customer and industry specifications to inform design decisions and ensure compliance.
- Engineering Drawings & Documentation: Review and approve drawing packages, conduct analyses to meet customer requirements, manufacturing methods, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and cost considerations. Generate and maintain high-quality documentation.
- Manufacturing Process Improvement: Develop and improve manufacturing processes, including tooling, routings/process sheets, and work instructions, to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Fixture Design & Development: Lead the design and development of machining, brazing, welding, testing, and other specialized fixtures.
- On-Time Delivery: Ensure on-time delivery of new products by coordinating timely documentation release and providing factory floor support.
Minimum Requirements:
- 6+ years in manufacturing engineering with direct experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), product design, and manufacturing processes.
- Direct experience in machining, tooling, brazing, and/or GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) welded assemblies.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
Desirable Experience:
- Solidworks, MRP Software/Oracle, MRB, military and aerospace specifications, ASME 14.100, ASME 14.500, AS9100, Six Sigma.
