Job Title: Process Control Engineer
Location: Johns Creek, GA, 30097
Duration: 11 Months
Job Description:
- Design, develop, and implement PLC based control systems for industrial automation equipment, utilizing knowledge and experience in the design of HMI and Software for PLC based control systems.
- This will includes development of hardware controls and data management for the process.
Relevant Skills/Experience:
- Must be capable of reading and understanding electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- Experience developing automated process sequences, batch recipes, and reports.
- Knowledge of field instruments, devices, inline process measurement sensors and their installation, maintenance and calibration.
- Experience implementing automation and process control systems in compliance with GMP/GxP requirements.
- Experience developing URS, FRS, FAT, SAT, IOQ, PQ documentation.
- Experience performing or assisting with acceptance testing, engineering studies, and validation/commissioning.
- Experience trouble-shooting hardware and software issues related to PLC control systems.
- Experience running automation and controls projects independently while collaborating with broader project teams.
- Working knowledge of change management processes as applied to regulated industries.
- Working knowledge of process safety systems and control methods.
- Detail oriented with strong organization skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Self-motivated and skilled at working collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Beckhoff controls equipment and Zenon SCADA HMI interfaces.
- Hands on controls and automation commissioning experience.
- Familiarity with network technology such as EtherCAT, ADS, TCP/IP Industrial Ethernet.
- Familiarity with SCADA and or MES systems.
- Work experience in a FDA regulated environment.
- Experience with machine vision is a plus.
- Process control experience from pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Instrumentation & Control, Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) 3+ years of directly related industrial experience in Industrial automation to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
