Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Instrumentation Engineer with a strong background in biometric systems, method development, and liquid handling automation to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and implementing automated systems to streamline operations within our laboratory and manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement automation systems for liquid handling, integrating biometric technologies to improve workflow and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and ensure that automation solutions align with organizational needs.
- Lead and support the method development process for automation systems, ensuring accuracy, precision, and compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and calibration of automated instruments and equipment, ensuring smooth integration into existing systems.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for automated instrumentation systems, ensuring continuous optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for all automation processes.
- Conduct data analysis, including validation and reporting, to ensure systems meet performance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform system upgrades and enhancements to improve system capabilities and resolve issues effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality control standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or related field.
- Proven experience with biometric systems, method development, and liquid handling automation.
- Strong understanding of automation tools and technologies, with hands-on experience in their implementation.
- Experience with the development and optimization of automated liquid handling systems.
- Familiarity with process control and automation software.
- Software/Reporting Systems : Experience with software such as Dark (reporting systems) is heavily preferred , but not mandatory.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established timelines.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards, such as ISO, FDA, or GMP, is a plus.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced automation platforms, robotics, and control systems.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with laboratory automation systems and instrumentation used in biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device industries.
- Certification in instrumentation, automation, or related fields is a plus.
