The Product Engineer position is a new onsite role at KOBOLD, and we want you to help us define what it will look like because, at KOBOLD, every voice matters.
As you continue to grow your technical sales career, and get to know KOBOLD from top to bottom, (product parts, functions and processes), you will thrive as the focal point in maintaining the technical knowledge and documentation for our products – in support of Operations, Sales, and Marketing. You will:
- Outline detailed product specifications received from the Germany Office, ensuring the documentation outlined in the data sheets and product manuals is accurate.
- Maintain product specifications, manuals and data sheets in support of sales and marketing.
- Develop and maintain application guides and bills of material.
- Identify opportunities for improvement related to product structures and assembly methods.
- Create and maintain technical content in support of marketing activities to attract customers.
What You’re Excited to Bring to KOBOLD:
- Three to Five (3 - 5) years of experience in electronic or mechanical engineering; experience in manufacturing is required
- Five (5) years of experience with industrial instrumentation (flow or level) products required
- Experience in the instrumentation and control industry or similar background, preferred
- Experience with PLC and other communication protocols or similar background, preferred
- Experience with ERP systems and document platforms such as InDesign, preferred
- Ability to leverage attention to detail along with analytical skills and communication talent to work independently for success

Location:
On-site: position can be hybrid after 90 days. You’re based in Pittsburgh, PA or close to our office in the Robinson Township area.
