Data Architect -St. Petersburg, FL

FinTrust Connect, a trusted partner of a well-established financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to drive the design and implementation of scalable, high-performing data solutions. This role requires a seasoned professional with a blend of technical expertise and strategic business acumen to optimize data infrastructure, integrate systems, and enable data-driven decision-making.

As a key member of the team, the Data Architect will collaborate across departments to deliver innovative solutions while mentoring junior staff and aligning technical capabilities with business goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data architecture, preferably within a regulated sector (banking/ financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, insurance, etc).
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and integrating diverse data sources.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, as well as cutting-edge data platforms like Snowflake and Databricks.
• Proven ability to design scalable, high-performance data pipelines and systems.
• Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring and managing technical teams.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business stakeholders effectively.

Description:

• Develop and maintain enterprise-level data architecture to address complex organizational workflows and business processes.
• Integrate diverse data sources, including core business systems and external datasets, into a unified and accessible framework.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines, warehouses, and frameworks to support advanced analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
• Partner with key stakeholders to translate operational and strategic needs into actionable data strategies and solutions.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and accuracy of data, aligning with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Identify and implement opportunities for growth and innovation through predictive modeling and advanced data analytics.
• Collaborate with IT and analytics teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions aligned with organizational goals.
