Job Title: PeopleSoft Payroll Functional Consultant
Location: Onsite in Charlotte, NC, with travel to St. Louis, MO, and Stamford, CT.

Job Overview:
Spectrum Life Unlimited is seeking a seasoned PeopleSoft Payroll Consultant to support payroll operations and system optimization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, with a strong focus on payroll functionality and multi-state payroll administration.
Key Qualifications:
• 10+ years of PeopleSoft HCM experience, specializing in Core HR, Global HR, Benefits, and North America Payroll modules.
• Expertise in payroll setup, system integration, and HCM payroll processes, including year-end processing (U.S. W-2s and Canadian T4s).
o Manage year-end payroll activities to ensure accurate and timely generation of Canadian T4 slips in compliance with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requirements.
o Oversee the reconciliation of payroll data, including earnings, deductions, and taxes, to ensure T4 accuracy.
o Validate and resolve discrepancies in payroll records that could impact T4 reporting.
o Ensure accurate reporting of statutory deductions such as CPP, EI, federal and provincial income taxes, and taxable benefits.
o Collaborate with internal teams to ensure system updates and compliance with any CRA changes to T4 regulations or reporting requirements.
o Develop and execute a thorough testing plan for PeopleSoft system updates related to T4 processing, including tax patches and regulatory changes.
• Experience managing payroll-specific needs, such as:
o Garnishments, union pay, and FLSA overtime calculations.
o Earnings and employee deduction calculations.
o Interfaces and general ledger transactions.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, including federal, state, and multi-state wage and tax laws.
• Familiarity with Mergers and Acquisitions is a plus.
• Proficient in analyzing and resolving system issues, with the ability to review and recommend PUM/Tax updates.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office tools.
Responsibilities:
• Support PeopleSoft payroll operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company-specific needs.
• Analyze and resolve system integration issues, optimize payroll processes, and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless payroll operations during mergers and acquisitions.
• Provide expert recommendations for PUM/Tax updates and assist with year-end processing.
• Travel as needed to company sites in St. Louis, MO, and Stamford, CT.
