The Relationship Banker is responsible for building strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs, and offering appropriate products and services to help them succeed. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, conducting financial consultations, and contributing to the branch's growth by achieving sales and service goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing tailored financial solutions based on their needs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to deepen engagement and loyalty.
- Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services, including checking and savings accounts, credit cards, loans, and investment options.
- Meet and exceed individual and branch sales goals by identifying client needs and recommending appropriate financial solutions.
- Conduct outbound calls and follow-ups to generate leads and grow the branch's customer base.
- Partner with branch team members to identify referral opportunities and collaborate on business development initiatives.
- Deliver exceptional service by understanding clients' needs and addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist clients with account openings, loan applications, and other banking transactions while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Educate clients on digital banking services and assist with troubleshooting online and mobile banking platforms.
- Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Monitor client accounts for suspicious activity and report any concerns following established protocols.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all client transactions and documentation.
- Work closely with branch leadership and team members to support overall branch objectives and initiatives.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay informed about new products, services, and industry trends.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive branch environment that fosters teamwork and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail banking, financial services, or sales roles.
- Bilingual - English & Spanish
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for customer service.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and build lasting client relationships.
- Proficiency in banking systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital banking platforms.
