JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to lead our financial planning, management, and reporting functions. The Finance Director will oversee all aspects of financial operations, ensuring alignment with the company’s business objectives and regulatory requirements. This role is pivotal in driving financial efficiency, developing budgets, and providing leadership to support long-term organizational growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Manage global financial strategies, optimize asset utilization, ensure compliance, and drive financial performance across all regions.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Manage and monitor cash flow, investments, and financial risk to maintain the organization’s financial stability.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, tax laws, and accounting standards.
- Prepare and present financial reports, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership and the board of directors.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and optimize financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Drive financial analysis to support business decisions, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support operational goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in financial management or leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and tax regulations.
- Proven track record of managing budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA).
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CMA.
- Experience in international finance related to the maritime business, particularly in the US or Korea.
- Experience working in a multinational or fast-growing organization.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial modeling tools.
- Demonstrated success in leading organizational transformations or process improvements.
Work Authorization :
The ideal candidate for this role will have authorization to work in the US prior to joining Hanwha.
