Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Certified Physician Assistant to join our Illinois team, to diagnose and treat health conditions, as well as promote good health practices, in a post acute, skilled nursing facility. As a non-physician provider, you are the go-to person for ensuring the best patient care and medical guidance is achieved. The job description includes conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests and overseeing patients’ health. You are both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. You should have experience in one of the following specialties: acute care, family health or geriatrics. Extensive clinical experience in primary care is vital. As a provider, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving, and good communication skills are important. If you are dedicated to advancing your knowledge and clinical expertise through research and professional discourse, we would like to meet with you to share our mission, vision, values for the post-acute industry.

Responsibilities

  • Examine patients and their medical records
  • Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
  • Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
  • Prescribe medications
  • Maintain accurate records and schedules
  • Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
  • Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
  • Oversee patients’ overall health
  • Promote good health practices
  • Advance professional knowledge and conduct research


Skills

  • Proven experience as a non-physician provider in a clinic, hospital, skilled nursing, ER or other setting
  • Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices
  • Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong ethics
  • Team spirit with a positive attitude
  • Patience and cool headedness
  • Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience


Requirements

  • Valid PA state license in the certification/license area
  • Minimum two years experience in a hospital, skilled nursing or clinic setting



Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
