A chemicals/manufacturing client is looking for an onsite Mechanical Technician that are tasked with several Cartridge builds and rebuilds for machine only customers as well as collaboration with Skid production team.
LOCATION: Santa Ana, CA 92705, ONSITE
POSITION: Mechanical Technician
CONTRACT: 18 months or longer
PAY RATE: $23/hr.
SHIFT: 1st shift, Mon – Fri, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, OT required
***MUST BE WILLING TO PROVIDE AN ACTIVE FORKLIFT CERTIFICATION***
Job Summary:
- Cartridge Technicians are key members of the production team, they are tasked with several Cartridge builds and rebuilds for machine only customers as well as collaboration with Skid production team.
- The Cartridge team may also assist the Test pad team with install and set-ups of all testing done for the engineering department in conjunction with the customers’ needs.
- The technician is expected to work under tight tolerances with several delicate and highly machined parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- High standard of 5S is required in this department
- Attention to detail
- Comfortable in a fast paced production environment with extremely low fall-out and scrap targets
- High mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Forklift certifications and abilities are highly recommended
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma required.
- An Associate Degree is preferred.
- Experience has a mechanic or other mechanical and technology-based jobs a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Very experienced with basic tool use, high mechanical aptitude
- Understanding of metal fabrication and machining
- Ability to read engineering drawings to build products under a tight scope
- Understanding of quality procedures and ISO requirements
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Basic computer skills such as emailing, record keeping, ordering, inventory management and form filing
