    Certification Details
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required

  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULL 3 YEARS OF ICU EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED.
  • The right candidate will have 3 full years of current ICU experience
  • Travelers could also float to the sister facility Mercy Gilbert, if needed.
  • Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage.
  • Flexibility is a must.
  • Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.
  • There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).
  • COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval.
    Job Requirements
  • 3 full years of current ICU experience
  • Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and AZ license or compact license (TNCC is preferred).
  • Must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.
  • Pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation.
  • Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48hrs PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE of a position.
    Schedule Information
  • Typically, every other weekend is required
  • Might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy
  • Must be willing to self-schedule and potentially work on holidays
  • No additional call/standby shifts required
  • May be low censused up to 3 times per contract depending on unit needs
  • Self-scheduling is allowed
  • Manager may need to balance shifts for unit needs
    Unit Specific Information
  • Nurse:Patient Ratios are 1:2 or 1:1
  • RNs are required to titrate drips
  • No nurse aids on the unit, used for sitters and as Health Unit Secretary
  • No Tele/Monitor Techs on unit, RN required to interpret their own strip
    Additional Details
  • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications are necessary
  • Recent ICU experience is a must
  • Expected to float between all 3 ICUs at the facility
  • Uniform dress code: Navy scrubs
