The Company:
We’re an acute-care hospital serving the surrounding area providing a wide range of specialties, including cardiology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, hospitalist services, nephrology, hematology, urology, podiatry, pulmonary medicine, and wound care.
Overview:
- Responsible for outpatient and inpatient evaluations, assessments, plans of care and ongoing physical therapy treatments as prescribed by a licensed physician.
- Administer treatment plan of care in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
- The therapist must document, in a timely manner, all patient related information and ensure that patients are charged correctly per departmental and insurance carrier guidelines.
- The staff therapist participates in departmental operational activities such as the budget, clinical quality, clinical education, infection control, departmental safety and team building programs.
- This position will be 60% inpatient/acute care in the hospital in the mornings and afternoons in the OP clinic.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is required
- North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Licensure is required
- American Heart Association BLS required within 30 days of hire
Preferred Attributes:
Master's degree or Doctoral degree is preferred
