Job Title: SAP Planner

Department: Energy Supply – Projects

Position Overview:


We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical SAP Planner to join our Energy Supply group under the Projects umbrella. This role plays a critical part in supporting project engineers and leads by managing SAP-related tasks, ensuring efficient operations, and resolving issues to drive successful project completion. The ideal candidate will bring a strong sense of critical thinking, root cause analysis, and adaptability to work effectively with diverse teams and unique project challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP Management:
  • Create and manage work orders, purchase requisitions, and non-work order PRs in SAP for project engineers.
  • Utilize tools such as MDO (Master Data Online) to generate or request WBS elements.
  • Provide hands-on support for SAP-related tasks and processes.
  • Metric Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Monitor and address metrics such as the Inactive Report , ensuring projects with no spend activity in 90+ days are resolved with project leads.
  • Manage the Missing Completes Report , working with project leads to ensure timely project completion or submitting extensions and closeouts as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Partner regularly with cross-functional teams, including business area finance, accounting, capital asset accounting, and supply chain.
  • Work closely with project leads, adapting to varying working styles and resolving unique, project-specific issues.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving:
  • Analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Navigate unique "one-off" scenarios that deviate from standard processes, ensuring successful resolution while maintaining accuracy and compliance.


Qualifications:

  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to unique challenges and identify solutions for non-standard situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with diverse personalities and team dynamics.
  • Proficiency in SAP and MDO tools is a plus but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with project management workflows and financial processes is preferred.
