Senior Manager, Memory Procurement

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager for Memory Sourcing, specifically for AI/HPC. As part of the memory procurement team, you will be the go-to person for implementing standard procurement processes towards engaging suppliers/partners. This role will be pivotal in developing and driving sourcing strategies for memory products that meet the demands of our high-performance computing solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of memory technologies, market dynamics, and strategic sourcing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategy Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for memory components tailored for HPC systems, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish strong relationships with key suppliers. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure competitive pricing and favorable delivery schedules.
• Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to stay abreast of trends, technologies, and pricing in the memory sector, providing insights to inform sourcing decisions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and product management teams to understand memory requirements and ensure timely sourcing of components.
• Cost Optimization: Proactively drive cost reduction and process improvement within the sourcing function, ensuring maximum value for the organization.
• Risk Management: Develop risk mitigation strategies related to supply chain disruptions, material shortages, and market volatility.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in sourcing or procurement, with a focus on memory technologies for HPC or related industries.
- Strong understanding of memory products, including DRAM, SRAM, HBM and emerging memory technologies.
- Proven track record of successful supplier negotiation and contract management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing partners and leadership at all levels.

- Networking : Established network of contacts within the Memory communities, including technology providers, research institutions, and industry authorities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, legal, and business development, to drive IP-related projects.
