Communication Coordinator

Responsibilities:
- Support Senior Communications Manager in the development and execution of employee enthusiasm events, fostering a positive and engaging experience for participants.
- Support Senior Communications Manager in managing media requests, inquiries, and interactions.
- Support Senior Communications Manager in the organization and facilitation of leadership and public visits, including scripting and agenda development.
- Keep the workforce informed about GM's official product information and plant actions through regular communication channels.
- Keep track of the Facebook page and database page. They will help develop different presentations for the plant director. Also, they will work out different logistics to get employees to different locations.
- Create internal plant videos for internal and external use, showcasing the plant's activities and achievements.
- Enhance GMs storytelling initiatives with employee, customer, and community interviews.
- Assist in speechwriting and presentation development for plant leadership.
- Coordinate plant volunteers and representatives for public-facing events. Work with representative partners supporting plant staff, work with manager on help with plant tours.
- Support the planning and communication of various in-plant meetings.
- Develops and maintains a system for managing office routine.
- Assists in planning, conducting, and evaluating projects.
- Monitors programs and projects.
- Frequent contact with others outside the work group.
- Maintains technical expertise and procedural knowledge.
- Keeps supervision advised of work in process.
- Assumes operational assignments as a working member.
- Assists in the coordination of special or unusual projects.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and project management skills, as well as professionalism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Computer Savvy - Microsoft Office
- Creative - Proficiency in photography, video shooting, editing, and production software is a plus.
- Experience in event planning and coordination is a plus.
- Media Savvy - Knowledge of media relations is beneficial.
- Create Dynamic Presentations - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required. ***Student enrollment in college is required***WKU or Sky CTC (open to remote programs)***
- 0-2 years of related experience required.
Location: Bowling Green, KY | Onsite
Schedule: First Shift | Monday - Friday (6:30 am to 4:30 pm) | Flexible Schedule available
Duration: 12+ month W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
