Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Location: Zephyrhills, Florida (Academy of Spectrum Diversity)

Schedule: 3 Days a Week (During School Week)

Pay: $62 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at in Zephyrhills, Florida. This role is focused on working with children, specifically within the spectrum diversity community, to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. The position offers a flexible schedule with three working days per week during the school week, providing a great work-life balance.

As an SLP at our academy, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, helping them improve communication skills and navigate their educational experiences. You’ll work closely with a team of professionals and provide individualized care tailored to each child’s unique needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech and language disorders in children, particularly those on the autism spectrum or with other developmental differences.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's specific needs.
  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to address speech, language, social communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to develop and monitor treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and update treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff regarding communication strategies and techniques for students.
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings, and other relevant planning processes.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Florida.
  • Experience working with children, particularly those on the autism spectrum or with developmental delays, is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and parents.
  • Compassionate and patient approach to working with children with diverse needs.
