Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to provide high-quality mental health care in a psychiatric hospital setting. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of psychiatric conditions. The position offers a structured weekday schedule, providing a balanced work-life opportunity. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments for individuals.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including prescribing and managing psychotropic medications.
- Address acute and chronic psychiatric disorders, ensuring continuity of care.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for individuals experiencing severe mental health episodes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in accordance with facility protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security guidelines
Qualifications
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with completed psychiatry residency.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in psychiatry
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted medical license in Kansas.
- Other Requirements: COVID-19 vaccination required.
