*Overview*
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a vital role in the healthcare team, specializing in the use of radioactive materials to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. This position requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and the ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using advanced technology. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in anatomy and physiology, along with proficiency in medical terminology and aseptic techniques.

*Duties*
* Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging procedures.
* Operate imaging equipment, including PET scans, to capture high-quality images.
* Conduct patient scans and ensure accurate positioning for optimal results.
* Collaborate with physicians to interpret scan results and provide detailed reports.
* Maintain accurate records of procedures performed and patient information.
* Adhere to safety protocols and regulations regarding the handling of radioactive materials.
* Educate patients on procedures, ensuring they understand the process and any necessary preparations.
* Perform routine maintenance on imaging equipment and troubleshoot any operational issues.

*Qualifications*
* Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy, with an emphasis on their application in nuclear medicine.
* Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine practices.
* Experience in performing PET scans and other nuclear medicine procedures is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, including the ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations effectively.
* Understanding of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures.
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
* 18 months of experience is required
* AHA BLS certification is required
* ARRT and/or NMTCB license required.
* Must have OH license
* Machine type is Phillips Ingenia 1.5T
