Travel Nurse RN - Telemetry - $1,673 per week at Piedmont Augusta Hospital summary:

The Travel Nurse RN specializes in providing care to patients in a telemetry unit, primarily serving adult to geriatric populations with conditions such as CHF, MI, and dysrhythmias. The position requires certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification, along with a state license. Nurses are expected to work every other weekend and may need to be available for holiday shifts based on assignment requirements.

    Job Details
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers are accepted
  • Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
  • Telemetry unit with diagnoses including CHF, MI/Chest pain (pre- and post-cath), Dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), Hypo-/Hypertension, Pleural effusion, Sepsis, PE/DVT/vascular issues
  • Ratio / Census: 1:4-5; 16 Rooms
  • Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue
  • RTO: MAX 7 days
  • Weekends: Every other weekend
  • Floating: Yes
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
    Job Requirements
  • Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS and NIH
  • State License verification (if applicable) - within 30 days prior to start date
  • Annual Nursys (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) within 30 days prior to start date
    Schedule Information
  • Weekends: Every other weekend
  • Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

  • Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
