  • Minimum Experience: 1 year; 1st Timers are accepted
  • Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
  • General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Patient Diagnoses include all potential Med Surg diagnoses; Skills and Knowledge required include Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Nasal Cannula, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Chest Tubes, Starting IVs, PICC Line Management, Blood Product Administration, Feeding Tube Care and Management
  • Ratio / Census: 1:6; 32 Rooms with average daily census of 29
  • Unit Systems: Epic (Required), Pyxis, SBAR
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue
  • RTO: MAX 7 days
  • Weekends: Every other weekend
  • Floating: Yes
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
    Job Requirements
  • Certifications Required: BLS Required
  • State License verification (if applicable) - within 30 days prior to start date
  • Annual Nursys (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) within 30 days prior to start date
    Schedule Information
  • Contract Length: 14 days
  • Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Skills Checklist within 12 months - updated annually
    Additional Details
  • Photo ID Required
  • Required for RN’s in following specialties: PACU/Pre-op/Endo/CSU (if these areas accept pediatric patients), ER
  • Required for all candidates regardless of TB result. Must be updated annually.
