Bacetti is hiring a prep cook! This position will be a hybrid of pastry and general/savory prep responsibilities with the opportunity to work with the chef to develop new dessert offerings.
Bacetti is a Roman-inspired Italian restaurant in Echo Park. We make our pasta in house, and use seasonal produce and other high-quality ingredients.
The new prep cook will work closely with our existing prep team, the head chef, and sous chef.
Pastry responsibilities include:
- making doughs, batters, and other dessert elements
- baking off desserts
- making ice cream and sorbet
- monitoring dessert pars and setting up dessert station for service
- collaborating with the chef and owner on seasonal changes to our dessert offerings
General/savory prep responsibilities include:
- receiving and inspecting orders
- breaking down produce and proteins
- making sauces
- making pasta
- other prep tasks as needed
We are looking for reliable team members who are detail oriented and focused on food quality and consistency. A commitment to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety are required. We seek friendly, collaborative team members with a can-do attitude and passion for culinary standards.
All kitchen staff receive tips as part of the house tip pool, and paydays are every Friday. Compensation is $20-22 per hour, depending on experience.
