Certification Details ASCP CT Job Details Position reports to the Cytology Technical Lead and the Pathology Department Manager. Responsible for screening slides of clinical specimens for evidence of cancer or other pathological conditions. Participates in specialized and complex technical tasks including marking abnormalities and rendering diagnoses. Performs routine quality control and participates in cellular evaluations for specimen adequacy. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited cytology program is required. Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited cytology program is required. ASCP CT certification is required. At least 3 years of experience in Cytology is required. Schedule Information Flexible scheduling to meet staffing needs. Attendance and punctuality according to facility policy. Unit Specific Information Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of procedures for Universal Blood and Body Fluid Precautions. Maintains work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
