Night Shift Premium - $4.50/hour

Harborview Medical Center's Transitional Care Unit has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3).

WORK SCHEDULE:

90% FTE, 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts)

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Harborview Medical Center - Transitional Care Unit (TCU) was created as a more efficient way in which to care for our medically stable patients awaiting placement. Our unit was designed to offload an acute care bed and assist our patient population in overcoming their discharge barriers. The staffing model in this unit reflects the needs of long-term patients and utilizes different ratios than our standard acute care units.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs specific leadership functions related to clinical practice, education, and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.

Assumes staff assignments and preceptor responsibility.

Provides leadership for unit and departmental activities that promote delivery of quality nursing care, effective problem solving and communication, and continued professional development for self and others.

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Charge nurse experience, preceptor experience and/or leadership experience.

Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington

National nursing specialty certification desirable.
