Job Description: Medical Technologist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. This position requires a highly motivated professional capable of performing a variety of clinical laboratory tests while maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a strong generalist background and the ability to work independently during rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.



Key Responsibilities:

Perform a wide range of laboratory tests in the following areas:

Phlebotomy

Specimen Processing

Urinalysis

Blood Bank

Serology

Coagulation

Hematology

Chemistry

Microbiology

Ensure accuracy, precision, and compliance with regulatory guidelines in all laboratory procedures.

Collect, process, and analyze patient specimens according to established protocols.

Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper calibration.

Monitor and evaluate test results for accuracy and communicate critical findings to the appropriate medical staff.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory activities and patient test results.

Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control and proper handling of biohazard materials.

Work rotating shifts, including early mornings (0600, 0700, 0800, 0900) and afternoons (1330), as well as respond to on-call requirements.

Participate in rotating weekend and holiday schedules.



Qualifications:

Education: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.

Certification: ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification is required.



Salary: 70-80k can increase for the right candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
