Job Description
Job Title: Accounting Clerk (AP, HR, Insurance)

Fuse3 Solutions is partnered with a Manufacturing/Service company to help find an Accounting Clerk to join their team. The duties include 80% AP and 20% helping with HR & Insurance. This is a smaller family owned company so this person will have the ability to have the ability to jump in and help out in other areas as well. This is a great opportunity so don't wait to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable (AP):

Process and verify incoming invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Prepare payment runs, issue checks, and manage vendor communication regarding payment statuses.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor outstanding liabilities.
Assist in maintaining accurate financial records by updating the AP ledger.
Support month-end closing by providing necessary AP reports and documentation.

Human Resources Support:

Assist with employee onboarding and maintain HR records (e.g., benefits enrollment, employment contracts).
Help track employee attendance and time-off requests.
Assist in maintaining compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Support the payroll department with data entry and payroll-related tasks.
Provide general administrative assistance to the HR department, as needed.

Insurance Duties:

Assist with managing employee insurance benefits, including health, dental, and life insurance programs.
Process insurance-related documentation and maintain accurate records for all insurance policies.
Coordinate with insurance providers to resolve issues or discrepancies.
Assist in preparing insurance renewals and ensure that coverage is up to date.
Help track and maintain certificates of insurance for the company and vendors.

Additional Responsibilities:

Assist with various administrative tasks as needed within the accounting and HR departments.
Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
1-2 years of experience in accounting related roles.
Knowledge of accounting principles, particularly in accounts payable.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience in QuickBooks is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
