Role Overview:
Brilliant Financial Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accounting Clerk to assist our client, located in Franklin Park, IL, during a critical system transition. In the role you will be part of a collaborative team making a meaningful impact during an important system transition, a gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge ERP systems like ShopEdge. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate migration of data, vendor communication, and reconciliation of accounts across two systems. Key Responsibilities:
Accurately validate and transfer customer data into the new ERP system.
Engage with over 100 vendors to collect, reconcile, and validate current statements.
Match invoices to payments, reconcile vendor statements, identify discrepancies, and resolve missing invoices by coordinating with vendors.
Work across two systems to close out invoices in the old system and ensure data accuracy in the new one.
Support entering invoices into the new system and completing outstanding tasks as needed.
Utilize Excel (pivot tables) to analyze data and create reports for improved decision-making.

Qualifications:
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (critical to the role).
2-3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or accounting.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
Familiarity with ERP systems like Shop Mate or ShopEdge.
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables for data analysis.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with vendors and internal teams.
Experience with data migration and reconciliation across multiple systems.
