As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the integrity of operations. You'll be responsible for meticulously reviewing and verifying certified payroll records, collaborating with subcontractors to resolve compliance issues, and preparing essential reports that inform decision-making at the highest levels. Key Responsibilities
* Take ownership of submitting certified payroll and related documents, seamlessly navigating platforms like LCPtracker and Vista.
* Lead the charge in preparing for compliance audits, collaborating with monitoring groups and ensuring the team is always ready to shine under scrutiny.
* Prepare essential compliance reports, including apprenticeship, workforce, and skilled and trained compliance reports to provide key insights that support informed decision-making.
* Meticulously review and verify certified payroll records, fringe benefits statements, employer training contributions, and apprenticeship paperwork to ensure every document meets the highest standards of compliance with state and contract regulations.
* Collaborate across teams, including Project Accountants, AP and Payroll teams, and other accounting staff, as well as Project Managers, Engineers, and Assistants to identify and resolve compliance issues.
Key Qualifications
* Experience with payroll or accounting required
* Certified payroll experience a huge plus
* Organized with keen attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience with LCPtracker and Vista a plus
* Commitment to strict confidentiality and discretion
* Understanding of labor codes, Davis-Bacon laws, and proficiency in LCPtracker software
* Department of Industrial Relations
* Ideally 2 years of experience, but open to candidates with less experience who possess the required knowledge
