Travel Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $1,695 per week at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center summary:

Travel Nurse RN specializing in Emergency Department care, providing critical support for patients with cardiac needs. The role requires strong telemedicine skills, particularly in titrating cardiac drips and managing patients awaiting placement in hospital units. Nurses will work 12-hour shifts, with a focus on maintaining quality care for higher-acuity tele patients while rotating through various departments as needed.

    Job Details
  • ED Holds/Tele position at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona.
  • Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start, through UNA, only (with 2 max attempts).
  • There is also a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation.
    Job Requirements
  • Must have a strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years.
  • Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physicians’ orders and parameters.
  • Nurses will be caring for more tele patients VS medical.
  • RNs are required to titrate drips.
    Schedule Information
  • 12 hr shifts (7a - 7p or 7p - 7a)
  • Ability to self-schedule; however this could change from time to time.
  • 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule.
  • Rotate in with the perm staff for holiday requirements.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Floating Requirements: Would float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and CRMC/MGMC Eds as needed.
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy.
  • Unit/Department specific orientation: 2 shifts orientation to Med/Surg/Tele at primary campus.
    Additional Details
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: ED holds waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS/Tele.
  • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: ED charge nurse.
  • Nurses must be able to read & interpret strips. No monitor tech in the ED.
  • Will be caring for patients from the ER who are waiting on a bed in the hospital.
