Fives Raw Bar is an elegant new Cocktail & Oyster Bar in the iconic French Quarter at Jackson Square. We are seeking experienced and passionate candidates to join our culinary team.
Qualifications:
- 2 years kitchen management experience
- Have a high level of culinary expertise in and passion for Gulf seafood
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Be able to create and execute beautiful and balanced seafood dishes
- Estimate food requirements and food and labor costs
- Monitor inventory and purchase supplies and food from approved vendors
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Plan schedules
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Maintain a positive and professional environment for coworkers and guests
About the Job:
As a sous Chef you will be responsible for prepping, ordering, cooking and plating menu items in accordance with the recipes and standards of our culinary team, led by Chef Paul Terrebonne. You must be well organized and focused to prepare for and execute service and maintain a pristine working environment. A creative mindset with strong attention to detail is essential.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of Back of House management experience and a passion for food and hospitality. Must be great at multitasking and team orientated and possess a positive attitude towards providing hospitable service for both guest and employees.
This position pays is based on experience and does offer health benefits.
