The Construction Manager for pool installation oversees all aspects of commercial pool construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role involves managing teams, coordinating with clients and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and local building codes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, attention to detail, and excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and oversee pool installation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate project feasibility, soil conditions, and any potential obstacles.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify progress and quality of workmanship.
- Coordinate with designers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure all project components are aligned.
- Create and manage project budgets, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and project expenditures.
- Source and order materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with architects, landscape designers, and hotel management to design pool structures that align with the overall theme and luxury standards of the hotel.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Secure necessary permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and inspection reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
- 5+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on pool installation or similar projects.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle unexpected challenges on-site.
- Experience with custom or luxury pool installations.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, plumbing, and electrical systems related to pool construction.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
