We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager of Communications to lead our internal and external communication initiatives for the Chief Technology & Sustainability Officer. This role will support technology, innovation, sustainability, and our new Energy business unit, playing a critical part in enhancing employee engagement and elevating the visibility of our sustainability efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Communications:
- Develop and execute internal communication strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Write and distribute announcements, newsletters, and leadership messages.
- Lead quarterly virtual Town Halls, overseeing logistics and content.
- Manage and strategize content for the company’s intranet, ensuring timely, engaging, and accessible information.
- Regularly update and celebrate company achievements, milestones, and culture.
- Manage and execute employee recognition programs.
External Communications:
- Plan and execute campaigns to amplify brand visibility and support thought leadership and sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure alignment with brand and voice.
Executive Support:
- Create compelling presentations for internal town halls, board meetings, and external engagements.
- Coordinate C-suite travel itineraries, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Act as a trusted communication advisor to the CTO & CSO.
- Organize and manage the executive team’s calendar to maximize productivity.
Sustainability & Speaking Engagements:
- Develop and coordinate sustainability-related speaking engagements for senior executives.
- Draft and refine messaging, presentations, and materials on sustainability efforts.
- Liaise with event organizers, partners, and media to ensure successful representation.
Team & Stakeholder Management:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support communication needs across the organization.
- Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of messaging and priorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of professional experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or related disciplines.
- Proven ability to craft engaging messaging for diverse audiences.
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation development skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Experience working with C-suite executives and managing confidential, high-stakes communications.
- Familiarity with sustainability communications and external speaking engagement coordination.
- Proficiency with LinkedIn, SharePoint, Poppulo, and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams).
