Role Overview

As a CNC Machinist, you'll play a key role in crafting high-performance components with unmatched precision. Working closely with engineering and operations teams, you'll optimize machining programs, tackle complex challenges, and ensure parts meet the highest standards. Based at our Indianapolis headquarters, you'll occasionally have the opportunity to work at racetracks or other locations.


What You'll Do

  • Interpret CAD models, blueprints, and verbal instructions to achieve precise dimensions and tolerances (.0005-.003).
  • Set up and operate multi-axis CNC mills and lathes using various tooling styles.
  • Program CNC machines, optimizing feeds, speeds, and depth of cuts to meet specifications.
  • Inspect parts using tools like portable CMM, calipers, bore gauges, and micrometers to ensure quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance manufacturing processes and efficiencies.
  • Select and implement CAD/CAM software for seamless CNC programming.
  • Manage simultaneous machine operations to increase production.


What Were Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications or associate degrees in CNC Machining or Manufacturing Technology preferred).
  • 5-7 years of machinist experience in an R&D or high-performance manufacturing environment (motorsports or aerospace preferred).
  • Proficiency in G & M code programming and CAD software manipulation.
  • Experience with live tooling and WinMAX on Hurco CNC machines is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
