About the job Brand Manager
Job Description and Functions:
- Point person for all division activities - focusing on direction of brand and line
- Work closely with Division President to plan buys and make recommendations as needed for reorder
- Daily Communication with division sales representatives to follow-up on major meetings, trade shows and provide important updates as well as other information regarding style changes, production changes/extensions, item selling, etc.
- Daily meetings with Division President to review buy updates and Sales Team needs
- Follow up with Division Sales Team on monthly distros/shipping from major accounts and enforce corporate standards and policies
- Verify and resolve any customer price discrepancies with Sales Reps as needed
- Analyze all weekly selling reports from all accounts and prepare "best selling" and "slow selling" reports
- Check "stock status" reports daily for stock updates and availability to alert Planning and Production when buys are needed
- Work with the customer service team to adjust customer orders based on stock availability to ensure all orders ship on time
- Review weekly recaps, travel schedules, and calendars from the sales force to be aware of overall business and needs
- Work daily with production to ensure timely delivery of product
- Process and manage all stock buys
- Attend all division product meetings at the corporate office
- Responsible for preparing all reports for sales meeting and trade shows
- Coordinate all aspects of sample needs for all major trade shows
- Manage and monitor division business plans weekly to exceed financial goals
- Update month end business plans and update Sr. Management on financial goals and projections
- Monitor weekly and monthly shipping to meet/exceed business plans
- Report estimated monthly shipping projections to CFO and revisions as needed
- Attend all major trade shows
- Shop retail on a regular basis to be aware of market needs and trends
- Additional reports, projects and tasks requested as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: BA/BS
- Experience: 5 years plus. A combination of Retail and Wholesale experience a plus
- Retail merchandising and buying experience
- Retail Math and planning
- Wholesale experience with demographic understanding of U.S.
- Microsoft Suite with advanced Excel skills including working knowledge of V-Lookups, Pivot Tables and formulas
- Ability to Process and analyze data
- AS400 knowledge a plus
- Must be Detail oriented and organized
