Position: Primary Care Mental Health (PCMHI) PsychiatristLocation: Gilbert, ArizonaPosted: 09-Jan-25Categories: Physicians/SurgeonsInternal Number: 827148900Overview:The PCMHI psychiatrist provides outpatient consultative psychiatric services including direct patient care as well as indirect chart-based/e-consultation services in support of the primary care team (PACT). The psychiatrist works closely with PCMHI team and PACT members to address the mental and behavioral health needs of the primary care population.Major Duties Include:Screen, evaluate, and admit/enroll patients to various mental health programs.Conduct direct consultative patient evaluations and treatments via face-to-face or telehealth care.Provide crisis intervention and psychopharmacology.Order diagnostic studies and evaluate results.Provide psychiatric on-call coverage.Prescribe medications, including Clozapine and evidenced-based pharmacotherapy for substance use disorders.Monitor and record patient progress.Provide education and counseling of patients and families.Function as a member of assigned committees and attend relevant meetings.Teach and supervise medical students, PA students, and psychiatry residents.Minimum Requirements:United States Citizenship.Degree of Doctor of Medicine or equivalent.Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.Completed residency training in an accredited core specialty program.Proficiency in spoken and written English.Preferred Experience:Board eligible/Board certification.Buprenorphine prescribing.Enrollment in the Clozapine Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS).Ability to use telemental health equipment.Compensation and Benefits:Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, 50-55 days of paid time off per year, federal pension, health insurance, and possible CME reimbursement.Contact: For more information, contact #J-18808-Ljbffr
