Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Java/J2EE Developer to join the team in designing and developing a low-latency electronic trading platform for U.S. rates. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a greenfield project, collaborating closely with trading and quantitative teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions leveraging modern technologies and architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with business and technology partners to design and develop the architecture for a low-latency electronic trading platform.
•Implement key components of the platform and deliver a minimum viable product.
•Continuously enhance the platform post-delivery to meet evolving business needs.
•Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.
•Apply advanced software tools and techniques to maintain and improve system quality, flexibility, and security.
•Participate in all phases of the software delivery lifecycle, from analysis to production support.
Required Qualifications:
•Over 5 years of hands-on experience as a Senior Java Developer in enterprise development.
•Strong expertise in asynchronous, event-driven programming and concurrency.
•Proven track record in project design and delivery.
•Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with diverse partners across the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience in designing and supporting low-latency, high-throughput trading applications.
•Proficiency in tools and frameworks such as Spring, Apache Camel, REST API (including enterprise authentication), JMS (e.g., ActiveMQ), SQL, and enterprise monitoring.
•Familiarity with capital markets, pricing, trade execution workflows, and vendor systems such as ION, Tradeweb, or Bloomberg.
•Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
