Lakes Regional Community Center seeks a Psychiatrist to provide clinical care to child and adolescent individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. The Center Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and medication monitoring in the Center's outpatient psychiatric clinics. The position is responsible for assisting in the coordination of medication-related services to include medical, pharmacy, and laboratory services, and serves as a resource for information providing education to clients and their families. The position is responsible for treatment in accordance with MH Community Standards, Medicaid standards, and all applicable HHS department rules and regulations.Lakes Regional offers a friendly, flexible work environment with a Work / Life Balance. In addition to an annual salary, this position has an opportunity to earn Lakes' “Prescribers Incentive Bonus” based on productivity, clinic presence & flow, and in-person attendance to quarterly medical staff workgroups.Responsibilities will include:“Same Day Charting and Prescribing” with daily documentation of services in the electronic medical record with e-prescribing.Serving and maintaining timely flow of assigned & scheduled clinic for The Center with the possibility of serving other Center clinic locations via local travel and/or televideo media.In-person attendance to quarterly medical staff workgroups.Some day-to-day travel to The Center's clinics may be required with mileage reimbursement for the use of a personal vehicle.Minimum Qualifications:Successful candidate must have a Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited professional college or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), with a current license to practice medicine in the state of Texas. Three (3) years of licensed medical practice and successful completion of an approved psychiatry residency training program is required.Computer skills sufficient with experience in the utilization of an electronic medical record and the ability to utilize a televideo system via Microsoft Teams. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record, as well as personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas.Salary: Based on QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:Experience treating children and adolescents and/or individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
