Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel. In summary, the role will be to lead architecture and execution of all commercial and technology transactions for Figure from a legal perspective.Responsibilities:Responsible for designing and executing all Figure’s commercial and technology transactions such as:Commercial agreements with Customers in which Figure is providing RobotsTechnology transactions in which Figure is doing a bespoke transaction with its technology or a strategic agreementStrategic agreements in which Figure is collaborating with Partners for mutual benefitStrategic corporate transactions (JV’s, Strategic Investments, etc.), research & development collaboration, operational partnerships, etc.Responsible for hiring and managing external legal counselResponsible for coordinating between business, engineering, and financial partners to set the right legal strategy for the CompanyRequirements:Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active Bar membership in CaliforniaExperience: 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably including a mix of in-house experience and law firm / corporate rolesSkills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a teamTechnical experience: Strong background in large AI and data transactionsBonus Qualifications:Experience with robotsExperiences with hardware sales or rental agreementsThe US base salary range for this full-time position is between $200,000 - $400,000 annually.The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
