The Registered Occupational Therapist will provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment to assigned clients, and help clients reach maximum performance level and to use skills learned to the fullest.Responsibilities:+ Provide OT services to clients aged 2-8 years old+ Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' goals and needs+ Help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities and tasks+ Provide consultation to center staff in the areas of perceptual motor, fine motor, gross motor, balance, motor sequencing, and performance problems+ Maintain timely and accurate client records and reports to ensure client progress+ Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care+ Educate families on strategies for managing conditions and maximizing independenceSkills:+ Enthusiastic personality that will engage children+ Strong client service skills, with the ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care+ Ability to collaborate and communicate with BCBAs, BTs, parents, and clients in a positive and constructive way.+ Experience working with pediatric clients is highly preferred+ Excellent organizational skills+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with adults and children+ Ability to plan, manage, and evaluate curriculum+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required for recordkeeping and documentation+ Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation requirementsPhysical Requirements:+ Prolonged periods of standing and sitting throughout the home and/or classroom+ Must be able to lift to 45 pounds at a time+ Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with clientsNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
