Function as a staff physician in the Department of Neurology. Duties at KU will involve assisting in the neurology clinics, hospital rounds, teaching medical students, neurology residents, and fellows.Job Description:
Required Qualifications:
  • Education : M.D., D.O., foreign equivalent
  • Work Experience : Completion of a neurology residency training required
  • Skills : Eligible for Kansas medical license. Background check required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Skills : Good written and oral communication skills.
Job Duties Outlined:
  • See patients in the outpatient neurology clinic.
  • On occasion, cover the academic teaching service in the inpatient hospital unit.
  • Supervise neurology medical students, residents, and fellows. This will include supervision of residents in the hospital wards, and in the neurology clinic.
  • Teach medical students on the wards and in clinic, and provide occasional lectures as needed.
  • Pursue scholarly activity in the area of general neurology
  • Other duties as assigned by Department Chair.
